GREEN BAY - Season ticket holders have until July 31 to let the Green Bay Packers know if they'd like to attend games this year.

The Packers sent emails and postcards to season ticket holders Tuesday laying out how the process will work this year if, in fact, there are fans at games. Packers President and CEO Mark Murphy said Tuesday a maximum of 12,000 fans will be allowed into games, though the number might be less, or none, depending on health-safety circumstances.

The team announced earlier it would greatly reduce the number of fans at games in response to the coronavirus pandemic. It closed training camp, which could start next week, and said there would be no fans at Family Night or the lone preseason game scheduled at Lambeau Field.

All season ticket holders were asked whether they want refunds for this year's games or to have their payments carried over to next year. Payments already made cannot be used to buy tickets for this season. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of July 31.

Tickets held for this year, whether acquired from the Packers or on the secondary market, are no longer valid.

Season ticket holders who opt in on games will receive information on how to access a pre-sale opportunity to buy single-game tickets. If season ticket holders get seats in the sale, they almost certainly will not be the same seats they now hold and not necessarily in the same quantity.

All tickets will be electronic. If a purchaser decides to sell the tickets on the secondary market, they must sell them all for that individual game. For example, if someone owns a block of four seats together, they will not be allowed to split them into pairs and resell them.

Season ticket holders who opt in are not committed to buying tickets when they come available. Opting in just gets them in the pool.

Prices will remain as they are now, based on seat location.

Here are some other things potential ticket buyers must consider:

  • Face covering will be required throughout the stadium unless you are eating or drinking.
  • All concessions and merchandise locations will be cashless.
  • In-seat sales and service in the club seats will not be available.
  • Tailgating might be prohibited in Lambeau Field parking lots.
